Report by Janis Zakis - BTSC webmaster Sunday the 18th saw temperatures hit 30 degrees making for a seriously hot Founders Day at Stanford Hall, Leicestershire.
As Stanford Hall is fairly local to the Zakis residence the old boy and I decided to risk riding the two James' to take in the show. With the other half on stand-by with the trailer, we made an early start to avoid the worst of the heat. Remarkably enough, we made it without incident, and after parking the bikes at the East Northants Classic Motorcycle Club Stand (thank you!), we wandered off to take in the sights. The theme this year was 100 Years of Moto Guzzi but there was plenty to see for the two stroke fan too. Here are a selection of some of our favourites. BTW - we got home safely too, without calling out the rescue service :) The COVID postponed Stafford show finally made a come back last weekend 3rd and 4th of July. With appropriate COVID measures in place there were plenty of visitors. Apart from the usual trade stands there was good attendance by quite a number of clubs and an impressive collection of bikes to admire including a good number of two strokes. The BTSC also had a stand at the show with some well prepared members bikes on display. Many thanks to Eric Hathaway for organising the stand. Please note: visitors in the exhibition hall had to wear masks. Masks in the picture were just briefly lowered for the photo. Perhaps we would have looked better if we'd kept them on :) Some other two strokes at the show...
